How We Help Homeless Animals
Each quarter, Don't Forget To Love Your Pet® will feature an animal rescue, shelter or sanctuary on this page,
and donate $2.00 per t-shirt and $1.00 per magnet to the featured organization. We look forward sharing information about the great work of these groups!
We also publish a rescue/shelter list for the upstate NY area in hopes of helping to increase adoption.

the community that ultimately benefit homeless animals and family pets.

dog training classes, support for animal cruelty cases, euthanasia & cremation, spay-neuter program for cats, rabies clinics, and many special events.
Website includes pet friendly rental property list, spay-neuter resource list and pet food pantry info.
Animals APF Accepts: dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, guinea pigs, rabbits, gerbils, hamsters, rats, mice,
ferrets and chinchillas but they are not licensed to accept wild animals.
Operations & Funding: APF is a 501c3 (non-profit) organization operated by private donations and
fees for the services it provides. The shelter receives no municipal or tax support and is not part of a
national organization. The shelter relies heavily on fundraising initiatives and interest generated from its endowment, to meet operational expenses.
There are approximately 25 full time and part time employees including a full-time veterinarian. There are also over 100 dedicated volunteers!
2009 Adoptions: In 2009, with some help from their rescue partners, the APF re-homed 1,359 animals!
